Tasks may include:

  • Supporting residents with day-to-day tasks, such as maintaining their living space, cooking, or organising routines
  • Providing social and emotional support, including having conversations, reducing isolation, and encouraging engagement
  • Assisting with group activities, such as wellbeing sessions, workshops, or community-based activities for example attending the food bank or st Vincents.
  • Supporting residents to attend appointments e.g. GP, substance misuse services, housing meetings
  • Encouraging positive use of time, including hobbies, volunteering, or accessing local services
  • Helping residents to build confidence and independence, particularly around communication and life skills
  • Promoting healthy lifestyles, including wellbeing, self-care, and routine
  • Signposting residents to relevant services e.g. mental health, recovery groups, employment support
  • Supporting staff with basic administrative or practical tasks where appropriate
  • Acting as a positive role model, promoting respect, boundaries, and recovery-focused behaviour
