Permanent Scooper

We are looking to hire a Permanent Scooper at our shop in Battlefield, Glasgow. We work hard to offer unique and one-of-a-kind flavours as well as our signature flavours such as Canadian Campfire. Being a North American style ice cream shop also means we offer North American customer service (e.g. friendly and warm)! You're the face of the shop. You greet customers - new and old - with a smile and explain our menu to those slightly overwhelmed (hey, it happens)! You give the first impression, which is so important, so even during the busiest and sunniest days you can talk customers through flavours and samplings with kindness and suggestions.

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain a tidy and welcoming shop that is inclusive and fun 

Engage with customers detailing product knowledge with confidence

Serve beautiful scoops and ice cream floats

Create non-explicit playlists 

End of shift duties such as cleaning and re-stocking for the next day

Requirements:

Able to work on your feet for 5-9 hours with energy and warmth

Able to work evenings and weekends (our opening hours are Wednesday - Saturday 12pm - 8pm and Sunday 12pm - 6pm)

Available for 2 shifts per week (17 hours) and to cover for other staff, if need be

Preferred:

Previous food or retail experience, especially ice cream scooping
