Gallery Assistant (Progression to Art Consultant)
Adamo Gallery is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Gallery Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a part-time role (4–8 hours per week, with weekend availability essential) with clear progression into an Art Consultant position for the right person. It’s an opportunity to become a valued, long-term member of a small, ambitious commercial gallery where you will gain hands-on experience across both operations and sales.
We are a family-run business with a strong focus on growth, professionalism, and client experience. We are looking to hire someone who can grow with the gallery long-term, takes pride in their work, shows initiative, and wants to develop within the gallery environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the gallery, including:
Preparing, packing, and organising artworks for viewings, collections, and shipping
Receiving and handling artwork deliveries and stock
Assisting with exhibition installation and de-installation (including use of ladders and manual handling)
Maintaining high gallery standards, including presentation and cleanliness
Supporting private views, exhibitions, and events
Engaging confidently with clients in person and over the phone
Assisting with client enquiries about artists and artworks
Supporting stock orders and liaising with artists and suppliers
Assisting with general administrative tasks and organisation
Supporting social media and occasionally appearing in content

Probation Period
12-week probation period to assess performance, reliability, and long-term fit.
