About the Role

Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in your local community? We are looking for dedicated Community Support Volunteers to support community initiatives, help distribute essential resources, and provide practical assistance to individuals who may benefit from additional support.

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with community members, contribute to wellbeing projects, and help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and transport donated food and essential supplies.
  • Sort, organise, and store donations safely and efficiently.
  • Support the distribution of food and essential items to those in need.
  • Help maintain clean, organised, and secure storage areas.
  • Assist with community events and wellbeing activities.
  • Carry out basic opening and closing duties where required.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about supporting people and communities.
  • Friendly, approachable, and compassionate.
  • Reliable and committed to regular volunteering.
  • Patient, understanding, and non-judgemental.
  • Able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Comfortable maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • A positive role model who demonstrates respect and empathy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
