About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? As a Community Champion & Gambling Ambassador Volunteer, you will help raise awareness of gambling-related harm and promote the support available through our Gambling Support Service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and supporting community engagement. You'll act as a positive representative of the service, helping to increase awareness, encourage participation, and connect individuals with opportunities and support that can improve their wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Duties
- Act as a positive ambassador for the service within local communities.
- Raise awareness of our services, campaigns, and the impact of our work.
- Promote events, activities, campaigns, and volunteering opportunities.
- Build relationships and network with community groups, organisations, and local partners.
- Share information and signpost people to appropriate support services.
- Support community events and engagement activities.
- Gather feedback from community members and help strengthen local relationships.
- Encourage involvement and participation in services, activities, and campaigns.
About You
We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and community-minded individual who is passionate about helping others. You will be confident speaking to a range of people, including members of the public, community groups, and professionals.
You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organised and reliable, and enjoy building positive relationships. Most importantly, you'll be approachable, non-judgemental, and committed to supporting people from diverse backgrounds. Whether you have lived experience, experience supporting others, or simply a passion for making a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you.
