The person we are looking for is passionate about supporting people and committed to find pragmatic solutions. You will be an experienced life or employment coach /advisor with a strong knowledge of the current labour market in Sheffield. You will hold an IAG level 2 qualification or be willingness to train to obtain this qualification. The ability to develop the service in response to client demand is an asset. Strong listening skills and team working are important assets.
Previous experience of dealing with clients from a range of heritages is an important skill that you will possess. You will have deep insights into the varied cultural, religious and social characteristics of multiply disadvantaged families in Sheffield. Fluency in spoken Punjabi, Roma Slovak, Hausa, Yoruba or Arabic is desirable.
An initial 12 month contract subject to a probationary period of 3 months.
Core operating hours are within 10.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday with two evening and occasional weekend sessions. (Specific times to be worked will be agreed by negotiation with the successful candidate.)
