Location: Ashgate Hospice, Chesterfield

Hours:   Part- time 26 hours per week. Working Monday - Friday between hours of 7.30am and 18.00pm, working  Saturday and Sunday 1 in 4 on a rota basis between the hours of 7.30am and 16.30 pm.

Following a new agreement with Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board, we’re able to increase our inpatient beds from eight to 10. This means we can grow our Inpatient Unit and the teams that support it.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Ensuring all areas of the hospice are clean and hygienic, including patient rooms, clinical spaces, and public areas.
  • Carrying out deep cleans following patient discharge and maintaining hygiene standards throughout.
  • Restocking supplies like hand towels, soap, and toilet rolls.
  • Supporting your colleagues with tasks like bed-making, curtain washing, and floor care.
  • Following all safety guidelines and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
  • Engaging respectfully with patients and visitors, offering support when needed.

Ashgate Hospice offers free, specialist, compassionate care for adults living with life-limiting or incurable illnesses, including cancer, neurological diseases, and advanced heart, kidney and lung conditions.
