Since its inception in 1991, Glasgow Women’s Library (GWL) has grown from an unfunded, grassroots group totally reliant on volunteers into a renowned, unique and multi-award winning organisation, now employing 22 staff and supporting around 80 volunteers a year.
As the UK’s sole Accredited Museum dedicated to women’s history, and a designated Recognised Collection of National Significance, we also house an extensive lending Library and deliver innovative programmes of public events, exhibitions and learning opportunities that aim to celebrate and increase knowledge and understanding of women’s history, lives, and achievements in all their complexity and diversity.
We are seeking a part-time, temporary Finance Worker to join our dynamic team. This is a post that will cover a period of parental leave. Working most closely with Co-Directors, this post holds a central role in the organisation, working with and across the whole team to ensure that our financial activities and systems are efficient and robust. Finance Worker (Parental Leave Cover)
This is a Fixed-Term Contract until 31st January 2027, with a possible extension to 31st March 2027.

Hours of work: 21 hours per week, including some out of hours working
Salary: £27,213 PRO RATA (Actual Salary £16,328 per year)
Holidays: 37 days per year PRO RATA (including Public Holidays)
Reporting to: Director of Operations, Resources and Enterprise
Purpose: The day-to-day administration and maintenance of the GWL SAGE and Xero accounting systems, involving multiple funding streams, to ensure that GWL’s financial records are robust, comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date.
